China National Film Museum is among the largest national film museums in the world – a living homage to over 100 years of Chinese film history. SYMA Beijing was invited to conceive and build two important exhibition halls: Film Production and Digital Film Special Effects.

In the Film Production hall, rare cameras and a myriad of traditional film-making equipment were displayed in well-lit show windows. At the center of the hall, a select group of cameras and a classic crane demonstrate the traditional way of shooting a “traveling” scene – where the camera moves around the studio. The Digital Film Special Effects hall was decorated in a modern style with blue light hues, creating a futuristic setting which emphasized the latest digital equipment on display.
